Digital Story Telling

The children of today´s schools were born with technology and therefore it is a natural tool that they not only enjoy but even expect as part of their daily lives. I believe that the use of appropriate technology, such as digital story-tellying, allows for a perfect experience to teach within the framework of UDL (Universal Design of Learning). You can use this tool to present difficult information in meaningful ways with levels of skill development and comprehension that are adequate for your students and in which they can interact with these in multile ways, including as an option to demonstrate their learning.

In digital story-telling, teachers present the information in a different way than the traditional and students also can learn to create their own personal stories and learn difficult material in a way that is appealing and accessible to them. Digital story-telling appears to be comprehensive as it allows for the development of a wide variety of skills in a natural way. These skills include areas of research, writing, organization, technology, presentation, interview, interpersonal development, problem-solving, and assessment. This development of skills occurs with the teacher´s direction by involving students in a complete process where students retain difficult information and understand content that otherwise would be difficult to comprehend.
